Your Heather Crafts NFC Leather Keyholder combines handcrafted genuine leather with smart NFC technology. Share your digital business card, connect someone to your contact number, or provide an emergency contact for your little one.

Getting Started

Step 1 — Download the App
Install NFC Tools from the App Store or Google Play.

Step 2 — Enable NFC
Turn on NFC in your phone's settings, if required.

Step 3 — Add a Record
Open NFC Tools and select:

Write → Add a Record

Choose What to Share

Option A — Digital Business Card

Perfect for sharing your professional or personal contact information.

  1. Create a digital business card using your preferred platform.
  2. Copy your digital business card's URL.
  3. In NFC Tools, select URL / URI.
  4. Paste your link and confirm.

Option B — Direct Phone Contact

Ideal for lost-and-found keyholders or quick contact access.

  1. In NFC Tools, select Phone number.
  2. Enter your contact number.
  3. Confirm your entry.

When scanned with a compatible smartphone, your contact number may appear on the screen, ready to be dialed.

Note: This feature may behave differently depending on the smartphone used.

Option C — Kids' Emergency Contact

A simple way to help someone reach a parent or guardian.

Method 1: Contact Number

Follow Option B using a parent or guardian's phone number.

Method 2: Emergency Contact Page

Create a digital emergency contact card using a platform of your choice, such as Blinq, and copy its URL. In NFC Tools, select URL / URI and paste the link.

For your child's safety: We recommend sharing only a parent or guardian's contact details. Avoid including your child's full name, school, home address, or other sensitive personal information.

Write to Your Keyholder

  1. Once you've added your information, return to the Write screen and tap Write.
  2. Hold your smartphone near the NFC tag inside your leather keyholder.
  3. Wait for the app to confirm successful writing.

Test Your NFC Keyholder

Scan your keyholder with a compatible NFC-enabled smartphone to make sure your saved information opens correctly. We recommend testing with another smartphone as well.

Troubleshooting

Your phone isn't detecting the NFC tag?

  • Check that your phone supports NFC.
  • Make sure NFC is enabled, if required.
  • Try moving your phone slowly over the keyholder.
  • Remove thick phone cases or magnetic accessories.
  • Make sure your phone is unlocked.
  • Check whether the tag has been locked or made read-only.

Leather Care

Your Heather Crafts keyholder is handcrafted from genuine leather. A little care goes a long way.

  • Avoid excessive moisture and direct sunlight.
  • Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol, and soaking in water.
  • Avoid bending or putting pressure on the embedded NFC tag.
  • Natural leather may develop a beautiful patina over time.

A Few Things to Remember

NFC functionality depends on smartphone compatibility.

Information saved on the tag may be accessible to anyone with a compatible NFC reader. Avoid storing sensitive personal information.

This keyholder is not a GPS tracker and does not provide live location information. It is not a substitute for supervised child safety or emergency services.
